ARLINGTON BOOK CLUB RETURNS

Who can say no to a beautiful love story from Elif Shafak — along with unlimited oysters, allumettes, and martinis?

The good news: Those who joined us for the first meeting of the  Arlington Book Club are keen to return for the second instalment. The even better news: We will be hosting an additional evening of Book Club so we can invite ten new readers into the fold.

On that note, we hope some of you can join us on Monday, 20th April to discuss our next selection: ‘The Forty Rules of Love,’ by Elif Shafak, the celebrated British-Turkish novelist. The story concerns an unhappily married woman who begins working for a literary agent; the first book she encounters there just might transform her life.

Your hosts will be Erin McGuinness, Arlington’s senior general manager, and Ashley Baker, a journalist and Arlington’s staff writer. And because we cannot subsist on literature alone, we will serve a £50 menu of unlimited oysters, allumettes, and martinis (vodka or gin — we’d never make you choose). We can’t wait to see you.
