WHAT ARE THE KEY ELEMENTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL LONG LUNCH?
Time to ‘give in’. Such is our love of the long lunch, that we once had a lunch that turned into dinner.
WHAT DO YOU VALUE MOST IN A LUNCH COMPANION?
Stories. Gossip. Chatham House rules.
WHAT DID YOU EAT/DRINK TODAY?
Fish on Friday: lemon sole with shrimp and caper butter – and allumettes. With a delicious bottle of cold Etna Bianco. Followed by handmade chocolate truffles & cappuccino crème brûlée. YUM.
WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE – RESTAURANT OR OTHER – YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED?
A Winston Churchill quote:
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference”- which sort of sums up the experience of lunching at Arlington. We were the last to leave but the team were still smiling – although that might have had something to do with the fact that we were dining with the boss… (But thank you, team Arlington).
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON AT THE MOMENT?
Being a Grandmother – our first grandchild was born the day of this lunch!
